Every concrete overlays project follows our proven step-by-step process — built for quality, transparency, and results you can see.

We inspect the existing concrete for structural integrity, moisture issues, and surface condition. If the slab is a good candidate for an overlay, we measure the area and provide a detailed quote.

The concrete is ground, scarified, or pressure washed to remove contaminants and create a clean bonding surface. Cracks and spalls are repaired, and a bonding primer is applied where needed.

The overlay material is mixed and applied to the prepared surface at the specified thickness. For decorative finishes, texturing, stamping, or coloring is done while the material is still workable.

Once cured, the overlay is sealed with the appropriate sealer for the application — wet-look, matte, or satin. The sealer protects the surface and enhances color vibrancy.

Minor surface cracks can be repaired before overlaying. However, active or structural cracks — ones that move or indicate base failure — must be addressed first, or they'll reflect through the overlay. We assess crack type and severity before recommending an overlay.
Depending on the product and application, overlays range from a micro-thin skim coat (1/16 inch) to a full resurfacer at ¼ inch or more. Interior self-leveling overlays can be applied thicker to correct unevenness. We select the right thickness for your specific situation.
A properly applied and sealed concrete overlay can last 10–15 years or more with normal use and periodic resealing. The key is thorough surface preparation and a quality sealer appropriate for the exposure.
Smooth overlays can be slippery when wet. We apply textures or add anti-slip aggregates to any exterior surface or wet-area application to ensure safe footing.
